I had my first job interview today, and by george, I didn't know it was that going to be a stressful time waiting for just a low-wage cashier/customer service representative job!
I was right there on time - 5 O'Clock, and the manager told me to wait about 15-30 mins. After waiting, he told me to wait again because apparently, the 5:30 guy came early. Huh?
I waited for another 45mins-1 hour... Sigh. Anyway, I was looking around the store to look for some Beatley movies, dvds, and whatnots, and saw a few items:
- Beatles Trivia Pursuit

- White Album Puzzle

- Beatles Unseen Archives

Now reading and looking through the Beatles Picture Book is what made me survive standing there for a whole almost 2 hours! I was up to page 150 on the Unseen Archives!
very cool, indeed, as some of the pictures I've seen there was some pictures I've seen on the 'net that someone had scanned from the book :) So it was cool seeing those in there.
I don't think I am getting the job. Too many other high-qualified people and people who'll lie about themselves are trying to get this minimum $7.25 low-paying job and I'm not to par.
I see their business tactics as: "Now Hiring" -- Bring in 50-100 applicants, get them interviewed, let them wait in the store for about an hour or two, make them buy something.
It was hectic, alright! I'm not gonna do this again for a long time, lol, unless another job calls me back. I applied for like, 5 others. :D :D :D :D
Anyway, I thought I
really was getting it. I applied Sunday morn, got a call Monday afternoon. I thought they needed me right away.. plus, my friends & family said that they need people for the holidays. I guess more people need the job actually.
Ah well. Better luck for me next time! -_-
