10-28-09 Big news for our Beatles Tribute Cruise.

We have a New Special Beatles Guest and a very special Beatles Event. Let's start with our newest Special Beatles Guest, Chris O'Dell, the author of "Miss O'Dell: My Hard Days and Long Nights with The Beatles, The Stones, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton and the Women They Loved".

George Harrison wrote a song for her ("Miss O'Dell"), as did her boyfriend, Leon Russell ("Pisces Apple Lady"). She was there on the roof of Apple when the Beatles famously performed "Hey Jude" on TV. She watched as they recorded at Abbey Road, and was best friends with George's wife, Pattie Boyd. She had affairs with Ringo Starr, Mick Jagger and Bob Dylan. O'Dell and Joni Mitchell vied for the attention of Sam Shepard while on the road with Dylan's Rolling Thunder Revue (Mitchell referred to her in the song "Coyote" as "the woman down the hall").

As O'Dell writes in the book's foreward: "I wasn't famous. I wasn't even almost famous. But I was there"

Chris will join May Pang and Nancy Andrews' Question and Answer session called "The Rock and Roll Asylum" and participate in her own still to be named Q & A session aboard the Beatles Tribute Cruise.

10-1-09 Joe Johnson of the nationally syndicated radio show BeatleBrunch joins us as the Co-Host of the Cruise! Joe will be handling our Beatles Trivia Contest and Jorie Gracen's Q & A Sessions

Let's start with the basic nuts and bolts of The Beatles Tribute Cruise: We sail from Ft Lauderdale for 6 nights on 3/28/10. We'll be aboard one of Royal Caribbean's most luxurious ship the Independence of the Seas and we'll make stops in Belize City, Cozumel and Costa Maya before heading back to Ft Lauderdale.

Joining us will be:

Shannon- the World's Greatest Beatles Artist- She just finished up the 110 original pieces of Beatles Art that she was commissioned to create for The Hard Days Night Hotel and was honored by being the first non-musician to have her name placed on the Cavern Club's Wall of Fame. Shannon has her first book coming out in March 2010 and the Beatles Tribute Cruise is the first stop in her international book tour.

Shannon will be creating one of hr original art pieces while on board for all to see!

May Pang - John Lennon's former girlfriend and the author of "Loving John" and "Instamatic Karma"

Nancy Lee Andrews- Ringo's former fiancee, model and photographer and author of "A Dose of Rock and Roll"

In their own Question and Answer session called "The Rock and Roll Asylum" May and Nancy will take you back to the time when John and May rented Peter Lawford’s house on Santa Monica Beach in order to record Harry Nilsson’s Pussycats album. Living with them were Ringo, Keith Moon, Klaus Voormann and Harry Nilsson. I’ll bet they have some great stories to tell.

Paul Saltzman- Beatles photographer and author of "The Beatles in Rishikesh"

Paul will be conducting his "Beatles in India" multi-media presentation.

Jorie Gracen- Paul McCartney's photographer for 23 years and the author of "I Saw Him Standing There"

Jorie will be doing a Q & A session called "Behind the Lens with Paul McCartney"

BritBeat- America's Premier Tribute to the Beatles- will be performing three times including a Special High Octane Dance set list for our Costume Party. They will also be conducting a Beatles Guitar Workshop, so bring your guitars.

We'll also have a Beatles Trivia Contest, an In the Studio/Karaoke session, picture and autograph sessions with our special guests and raffles for the Dara Roberts Fund.
