How I Got Into The Beatles:

In April of 2006, I was in eighth grade and was in a restaurant that my parents and I went to every Tuesday night for spaghetti. Suddenly, a familiar song started playing, one I actually knew the words to. When I asked my parents what it was, they said it was Love Me Do by the Beatles. I had heard of the Beatles, but didn't know their names or what songs they wrote. Then I kind of put them in the back of my mind, until a few weeks later when my mom and I were at the Hard Rock Cafe and saw a lot of Beatles footage on the tvs there. I became more interested, and not too long after that decided to check my dad's cds for any Beatles. Sure enough, I found the One album, listened to it straight through, and fell in love with the Beatles and their music that day. Plain and simple. I actually recognized about half of the songs on the album, and said to myself "Whoa, I know this song too from somewhere, I didn't know it was the Beatles!" There was no turning back after that, and well, here I am three years later!

I'm a fan because their music is so appealing to all ages, races, and gender. And because they all four are charming and decent human beings who weren't spoiled by fame. They did things in music no one did before or since, and their music has become the soundtrack of our lives.

My Fave Beatles Songs/Albums:

Can't decide, I love 'em all. It changes from week to week, and even from day to day. Some top faves are (in no particular order) Yesterday, Here Comes the Sun, I've Just Seen a Face, You've Got to Hide Your Love Away, We Can Work It Out, She's a Woman, If I Fell...to name a few. Albums I love are Please Please Me, Help!, Rubber Soul, Sgt. Pepper, Abbey Road...

About Myself...

My name is Julia, and my parents named me after the song! I'm 18 years old, became a fan in April 2006, and I'm one of the biggest Beatlemaniacs ever! A day doesn't go by where I don't listen to them or their solo works.

I'm a little shy in public, but when I'm with close friends or family, I'm not shy at all. I actually act funny and crazy. I'm basically a good and thoughtful person who likes to do nice things for people. I play tons of Beatles and solo Beatles songs on guitar and like basketball and baseball. I'm also a vegetarian, and have been since I was like 6. I love the fact that I'm a vegetarian like Paul, George, and John. :)

I Believe In...

God and Christianity, peace, love, happiness, and anything positive that the Beatles say.

I Would Like To Meet...

Well, Paul and Ringo, and my two sports heroes: Michael Jordan and LeBron James. If I had to narrow it down to one person, it would totally be Paul McCartney no matter what. I'm so predictable, it's like my goal in life to meet him! And of course, John and George if they were still here :( I'd like to meet some of the Beatle children, like Dhani Harrison. I swear, he IS George, haha.

I am in Love with...

Paul McCartney (in his Beatle years especially, but he's still the most handsome man alive afterwards!) He has the honor of being my first and only crush.

My Favorite Music:

The Beatles were, are, and always will be my favorite band ever. (Shocker, isn't it?) I love all their solo careers, plus any rock music from the 60s like The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, The Beach Boys, Bob Dylan. I swear, I should've been around in the 60s. I also like Jackson Browne and 50s rock 'n' roll, like Elvis, Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Eddie Cochran, and all those other guys. :)

My Favorite Movies:

Forrest Gump is my favorite non-Beatles movie. Across the Universe, Stand By Me, Lion King (been a favorite ever since I was three!), science fiction, comedy movies, and anything and everything with the Beatles in it.

My Favorite Shows:

I Love Lucy, VH1 Classic, and Cleveland sports (especially the Cavs). And my brother has all the seasons of 24 on DVD, which me and my parents started watching about a month and a half ago or so. Right now I'm on season 5, AMAZING show! Watch it!!

My Favorite Books:

The Green Mile, To Kill A Mockingbird, The Beatles Anthology (which is probably my favorite book), My Dog Skip, and anything else Beatley.

My Favorite People:

The Beatles (obviously), rock 'n' roll legends, LeBron James, Michael Jordan, other Beatles fans, and of course my family, friends, and pets.

My Favorite Places:

My home, Put-In-Bay, Hard Rock Cafe, Quicken Loans Arena (home of the Cavs), Washington DC, and last but certainly not least...Liverpool (although I've never been there...yet). I swear, I'll probably live there someday, at least like in the summertime or something. :)

My Favorite Things:

Doing anything Beatles-related like listening to their music, watching their movies, reading their books, anything. Drawing, reading, writing, playing sports, playing guitar, going on vacation, seeing Beatles tribute bands, and being with my family and friends.
